Class Action Residuals
The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania entered an Order,
effective July 1, 2012, enacting a number of changes to the Pennsylvania
Rules of Civil Procedure. Not less than 50% of residual funds in a given
class action must be disbursed to the PA IOLTA Board to support activities
and programs which promote the delivery of civil legal assistance to the
indigent in Pennsylvania.

The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania is implementing a loan repayment
assistance program to benefit attorneys employed at IOLTA-funded
organizations. The timeline of the annual cycle may be found on
